Dearest Readers,
To put on the cloak of the holiday spirit and create miracles in others'
lives here is a story by Larry reprinted from A CHRISTMAS FILLED WITH MIRACLES on how we can touch the hearts of others.
You do not have to go far to be a blessing.
Do you have a neighbor or coworker having difficulties?
One year I bought a gift certificate from a local store, and before Christmas asked a young teen to deliver it to a family in need.
This way the family could use the certificate as their hearts desired.(Bills, food, gifts, fuel etc.)
The family did not recognize the teen delivering the gift, so it was a miracle to fill their needs.
Also, it taught the teen how to brighten the lives of others.
This week, I snuck out in the dark of night and strung up Christmas lights on a young family's front porch.
(We had so many extra lights from years passed and it made sense to gift them to the struggling family as a holiday surprise.)
My best friend, Atira, carries gloves and umbrellas in her car and when she sees folks in need in Seattle, she stops and gifts them human kindness and something to protect them from the elements.
There are good and kind folks all around the world.
I know you are one of the special Earth Angels.
Have fun creating holiday magic for others!
Also, your local Humane Society needs extra blankets, towels and food...and so do Human Homeless Shelters.
Please email me your personal Christmas miracle stories... for others to enjoy.
We share stories from all beliefs' holiday-family traditions that delivered miracles to others.
I love the heart warming stories in my two books, and travel with them, reading them because the stories are always fresh, uplifting and inspiring.
The last ANGEL SCRIBE newsletter on cat problems and their frustrated owners;
brought in wonderful health tips for their guardians, now posted on.
Also, there is only one free newsletter I read, besides mine, for inspiration.
I shared Dick Kazan's newsletter with several of my friends and they all joined too!
May you, too, enjoy the following story from A CHRISTMAS FILLED WITH MIRACLES.
Angelic Blessings,

The Spirit
of Christmas Society
by Larry Wasielewski
reprinted from A CHRISTMAS FILLED WITH MIRACLES
Seventeen years ago, four weeks before Christmas, I was laid off from my job.
We were also expecting our second child, and all in all... things were not looking too bright for us.
Christmas presents would not be possible.
Ten days before Christmas, a man I knew showed up on my doorstep.
He handed me an envelope.
I asked him, "What is this?"
He said, "Merry Christmas."
I told him I could not accept or give Christmas presents this year because of the situation we were in.
He told me to take the envelope, it was not a Christmas present.
He went on to say I was doing him a favor.
He wished me a Happy Holiday, gave me a hug, turned around and left.
Inside the mysterious envelope was $150.00 in cash and the following letter.
Dear Recipient:
You have been chosen by the "Society for the Spirit of Christmas" to receive this gift.
The only obligation to you is that someday when things get better for you, as they will, that you pass a gift of spirit along to someone who is going through a hard time in their life.
It should be given to them in the same manner as this gift was given to you.
This idea started a long time ago when a person such as you, in a situation similar to yours, was given such a gift at Christmas.
A person came to them and gave them a gift that was needed at that time.
He was told that someday when things got better for them, and they would, it would be his obligation to pass this gift along in the same manner, as it had been given to him.
He was told that he could not accept anything in return.
By doing this, the true Spirit of Christmas would continue to live on for eternity.
He was also informed he was never to disclose to anyone from whom he received this gift.
And now with your gift and the continuation of the Spirit of Christmas Society tradition you start a new line of this tradition.
You will know this because God will provide you with extra money during the Christmas season for you to distribute to another in need.

when
A Christmas Filled With Miracles was printed!
Dear Mary Ellen,
My copy of A Christmas Filled With Miracles arrived today!
When it arrived, I could not wait to open it and did not even go into the house before opening it.
IT IS BEAUTIFUL!
When I saw my story actually published, it brought back in full force all of the emotions that I felt when the experience first happened.
I could not hold back the tears.
I thanked God for allowing me to do His work through sharing my story in this beautiful book.
I wiped the tears away, looked up into the sky...AND could not believe my eyes!
There was an Angel cloud!
My emotions grew to an even higher level of joy, as I knew then that I was truly doing God's work!
I walked around the corner of the house and there were two more Angel clouds!
I could not believe it! Three Angel Clouds in total! How appropriate!
Angelic Blessings,
Larry

Dear Mary Ellen,
Thanks for autographing my books!
I couldn't put Expect Miracles down until I'd finished it!
Truly inspiring!
I must admit, I got a little tearful in some places.
This weekend, I will have the same can't-put-the-book-down experience with A Christmas Filled with Miracles.

Dear Mary Ellen,
This is an excellent holiday newsletter.
The store gift certificate you gave away is a wonderful idea and I intend to do the same. Thank you.
I'd never thought of this before nor what your friend Atira is doing in Seattle with umbrellas and gloves.
These are simple acts of kindness that make a real difference in people's lives.
May I suggest an additional approach.
Especially this time of year, but it's true all year, there are people in senior assisted living centers or who are largely shut-ins who have few people who visit them.
Most of their friends have passed away or are no longer very mobile.
Their families intend to visit them "when they can find the time," while other family members would but they live out of the area.
My suggestion to your readers is for them to regularly call on one or more of these people.
From earlier in their lives, these people have such interesting stories to share and they have an avid interest in hearing about the life of their visitor.
They also want to discuss current events, sports, health and other topics they read about or watch on TV.
And at the beginning and the end of each visit, a warm handshake or a big hug is always so welcome.
I've done this for years and it is immensely rewarding.
Thank you for including my website and encouraging others to visit it for inspiration.
It's gratifying to know that my newsletters bring you pleasure and that you recommend them to others.
I look forward to each of your newsletters because they contain pictures and stories that touch the heart and ideas that allow each of us to help make this a better world and ourselves better people.
